Fabrizio Family
A couple of months ago I posted something on my Facebook about needing to make Vermont connections. I can't believe how close my move is getting (yay!) but it's also scary in the business sense. Most of my business here has been referrals from friends and other photographers, and with not knowing too many people in Vermont, it is kind of scary to move there without too many gigs lined up. So when I posted on Facebook I asked if anyone had any Vermont connections who needed photos done, just so I could start meeting new people and getting some word of mouth going. I had planned a few business weekends up in the Burlington area, meeting with vendors and visiting venues, and Memorial Day weekend was the first of those weekends. Through friends, I was also able to schedule 3 photo shoots, with two great couples who are getting married soon and one amazing family up in St. Albans! The Fabrizio Family were my first photo shoot on Saturday, and I got to know them through my friend Melissa. Melissa and Sarah had gone to high school together, and Sarah and Tim have a one year old son Andrew that they wanted photos of. The weather was soooooo wacky when I got to Vermont- just beautiful one minute and absolutely downpouring the next. The day of the shoot was no exception. By the time I got to St. Albans, you could barely see out the window it was raining so hard. But Sarah had texted me saying the park we would be at had a gazebo, so we could take some shots in there. Well, we get to gazebo, and what I can only describe as a Jesus magic show was taking place. There was a ton of teenagers, a few Jesus Lives banners, and a whole lots of Jesus fish t-shirts. It was honestly the weirdest experience of my life. And it was pretty obvious that pictures were not going to happen there :) So we tried down by the park, which was our original location, but unfortunately the water is still so high that the road was washed out. So we went back to Sarah and Tim's, and lo and behold, right as we got there, the sun came out! We managed to stay outdoors for some shots, then use the side porch for the rest. Sarah and Tim were so welcoming and nice and funny- it was no surprise that Sarah and Melissa would get along, since they are both super-sweet and sincere. Sarah even offered to hang out once I moved to Vermont! (Yes I am pathetic and need VT friends lol- I'm not above getting set up for friendships, so if anyone knows anyone haha...) I had a great time with this family- here are some of the pictures!
How cute is Andrew? Seriously...
