A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of shooting a wedding for Jillian Farrell, an amazingly sweet photographer from Connecticut who found me through the CT Second Shooters Page. One of the things I love most about photography is how connected we all are as a community. It is great to be able to rely on other photographers when I need advice, and it's great to have so many networks and forums to connect with each other on. I am always excited to work with a new photographer... new to ME I mean lol... it's great to be able to see how different people work and I loved what Jill did with Jenn and Scott's engagement pictures, so I was excited to work with her. I was also pumped to work at a venue I had seen in pictures but never been to, and the Wadsworth Mansion did not disappoint! Beautiful place to photograph a wedding, and we got a gorgeous day :)

As usual with second shooting, I started with the guys, and I was not prepared for what I was about to experience. These guys were HILARIOUS... complete jokesters and I had a great time with them. Scott was cool as a cucumber and was pretty much a big ham for me and the videographer. Good times :)

I died when I saw Scott's gift to Jennifer... wrapped in Christmas paper...

When we got to Wadsworth, we went out back for some photos, and of course, the guys wanted to do some funny pictures. Mainly, this one. Scott seemed to be at least 5 inches shorter than every other guy in his wedding party, so they all helped him out by squatting low...

Love these next two!! I really never take people into open, direct sunlight, but I didn't really have a choice, and I liked how these turned out...

The rose bushes around the ceremony site were incredible...

I ended up hanging with the bridesmaids for a few minutes while Jill worked with Jenn and Scott... the colors and the bouquets were gorgeous together! These girls were just as funny as the guys... they insisted on the bottom photo...

Dancing was outside on the terrace, under the clear sky. It was perfection!

Possibly an all-time first dance photo favorite.
